Taken by photographer and friend Chris Chin during the "Year One" album release solo performance, this shot caught me looking straight into the camera, something I rarely do—though one eye open is pretty standard for me. Don't ask me why. It's been said of and by guitarists that the uglier the face you're making, the better you're playing. Let's hope that's the case.
